Chief Officer's Profile

Mr. Abdulahi Barako Kuti is the Chief officer for Finance and economic planning. as a Chief officer, he manages and coordinate all the activities of the department and is the accounting and authorising officer of the department.

Mr. Barako has a very pivotal role when it comes to mobilisation of public resources and making sure that effective accountability is of utmost importance and is for the good of the county at all times.

He brings to this role a vast experience in supplies, procurement, project management, finance management and professionalism spanning 36 years.

previous to this, he was the director of supplies and procurement in the County Government of Mombasa. He was also the senior supplies chain management office for the Ministry of state for development of northern Kenya and other arid lands. Prior to this, he has worked in different counties like kilifi,Embu and also Marsabit

His Education is also as impressive as his years of experience, he holds a Masters of Business (MBA) in which his thesis title was: The success factors for procurement planning in county Governments in Kenya: Case study of Mombasa County.

He also holds a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Kampala and a Diploma in supplies management.

He also holds over ten training and workshop certificates that he has used in his career in the procurement and financial management department over the years and is currently making sure that his department and county do the same.
