LAUNCH OF COUNTYWIDE DROUGHT RESPONSE AND RAMADHAN FOOD DISTRIBUTION.

Today, H.E Mohamud M. Ali, EGH, presided over the official launch of food distribution under Marsabit County’s Drought Response Program, aimed at supporting households affected by food insecurity. This initiative will benefit 20,000 households, with 1,000 households per ward across all 20 wards of the county.

In recognition of the holy month of Ramadhan, an additional 25,000 Muslim residents will receive food assistance. Furthermore, vulnerable groups, including persons living with HIV/AIDS and prisoners, have been included in this distribution.
This intervention underscores the County Government’s commitment to food security and social welfare, ensuring that no household is left behind. We remain steadfast in our efforts to support vulnerable populations and uphold the dignity of all residents.
