Mrs. Ambaro Abdullah Ali

CECM for Education, Skills Development, Youth, and Sports

Ambaro Abdullah Ali is an accomplished education professional and public administrator who
currently serves as the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education, Skills
Development, Youth, and Sports in the County Government of Marsabit. A visionary leader and
passionate advocate for education and youth empowerment, Ambaro has dedicated her career to
transforming lives and fostering inclusive growth through quality education, vocational skills,
and sporting development.
Her distinguished academic background reflects her unwavering commitment to excellence and
continuous learning. She holds a Postgraduate Degree in Public Administration and Management
from Mount Kenya University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development Education
(ECDE) from Moi University, a Diploma in ECDE from Garissa DICECE, and a Certificate in
Primary Teacher Education from Meru Teachers College. This solid academic foundation has
equipped her with the knowledge and leadership skills necessary to design and implement
impactful education and youth programs across the county.
Ambaro’s educational journey began at St. Mary’s Primary School in Moyale and later at Moi
Girls High School, Marsabit, where she developed a strong sense of purpose and community
service. Over the years, she has accumulated extensive experience in teaching, education
management, and public administration—roles that have shaped her into a results-oriented leader
committed to improving access, equity, and quality in the education sector.
As CECM, Ambaro has played a pivotal role in advancing the County Government of Marsabit’s
agenda on education and youth development. She has championed initiatives aimed at expanding
early childhood education infrastructure, enhancing teacher training and motivation,
strengthening vocational training centers, and promoting youth empowerment through sports and
skills development. Her leadership approach emphasizes inclusivity, innovation, and
collaboration with partners and stakeholders to achieve sustainable educational outcomes.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ambaro is widely respected for her integrity, strategic
thinking, and deep empathy for the communities she serves. She firmly believes that education is
the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and unlocking the potential of young
people. Through her work, she continues to inspire transformative change by creating
opportunities for learning, growth, and empowerment for all residents of Marsabit County.
