Ms. Orge Guyo Baji is a seasoned public administrator and development
strategist with over 15 years of high-impact experience in devolved
governance, food security, peacebuilding, and sustainable community
development across arid and semi-arid regions of Kenya. As the current Chief
Officer in charge of the Directorate of Food Security and Crop Development,
she has played a pivotal role in actualizing Marsabit County’s food systems
transformation strategy, bolstering emergency relief coordination, and
leading leading multisectoral programs to build resilience against climate-related
shocks and conflict.
Her leadership has seen the successful rollout of civic education, public
participation reforms, and alternative livelihood schemes for vulnerable
populations. She brings a hybrid skillset in strategic management,
peacebuilding, participatory governance, and policy formulation—shaped by
both academic rigor and boots-on-the-ground community engagement.
Ms. Baji is currently undertaking the Certified Secretaries (CS) qualification,
further enhancing her corporate governance and administrative
competencies. She holds an MBA in Strategic Management, and multiple
certifications in peace operations, women’s leadership, humanitarian
response, and ethics. Her career reflects a lifelong dedication to equity,
dignity, and service delivery in marginalized communities.
