Marsabit County first lady Alamitu Guyo Jattani presided over graduation of 200 girls from Saku Sub County who completed an impactful, five-day training under Mama Guyo Foundation’s Gaddis Gamme Programme at Moi Girls Secondary School, Marsabit. The young women who are now equipped with essential life skills and a fresh perspective, are ready to return to their communities as advocates for positive change. The training covered critical topics including the dangers of FGM, early marriages, teenage pregnancy, drug abuse, gender-based violence, and health issues such as HIV/AIDS and HPV. It also empowered them with knowledge of their rights, all thanks to the efforts of dedicated facilitators.
This graduation marks the beginning of their journey as community ambassadors, spreading the knowledge and inspiration gained over the past five days.
